In a book of conversation with a friend, the irish journalist Sean O’Hagan, the frontman of Nick Cave and the bad seeds told how he managed to write lyrics and searching new musical ideas with his fellow musician Warren Ellis despite tragic events : the loss of his son Arthur in a accident, the pandemic which stopped the concerts all over the world. Reflexions around the grief, instillation and nuances of his position to the religion in his words, the tough way to rebuild his intimate life searching with his wife Susie to overcome the wounds, helping each over. Thus, a beautiful melancholic Ghosteen album appeared in these troubled times. Have you read Faith Hope and Carnage ? Did you like it ?
